Mrs. Frick is one of the newest additions to the Westpark teaching staff, having moved to our community in from Toronto so that she could enjoy farm life and share her love of language and literacy! She loves the opportunity to form connections with each student and see them grow, not just academically, but spiritually, emotionally and socially. Ciara considers herself blessed to be a part of such a delicate time in young people's lives.

In her classroom, Mrs. Frick strives to foster an environment that cultivates a mindset/heart that pushes towards excellence in every area of her students’ lives. Whether that be while learning Grammar in ELA or simply learning how to be a friend, the goal is to create an atmosphere that pushes them toward their everyday goals. Seeing growth in her students over the duration of each school year has always kept Ciara passionate about teaching!

Mrs. Frick’s Deep Hope for her class is that it would be a space that fosters growth, encouragement, and deeply provides rest for all who enter. That it would be a place of friendship and of laughter but deep critical thinking as well where students are not afraid to tackle the tough questions.

Ciara stays busy outside of school with marking, planning and prepping school work, but also enjoys building a new life in a new province with her husband. She enjoys walking on the farm, playing piano, reading, and anything that involves a hot cup of tea!
