DISCIPLINARY APPROACH

Wherever possible, the disciplinary approach used at Westpark School is tailor made, taking each specific incident and student into consideration with reconciliation and restitution being the ultimate goals. We aim to hold students accountable for their actions, while instilling value for who they are as a person, separate from the mistakes that they may make.

Vice-Principal Corey Willms is responsible for disciplinary issues; he uses a holistic approach when helping students right their wrongs through apologies, re-building trust, and fixing that which they may have damaged.  Natural consequences are put to practice whenever possible, and Corey aims to treat all students fairly while encouraging and celebrating them as they learn to make better choices.
