HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP

Westpark students in grades 10 through 12 who are passionate about reaching others for Jesus may apply to participate in an annual mission trip to San Pablito and Mexico City, Mexico. In partnership with The Alliance Canada’s locally based team, our students’ minds and hearts are opened to the lives of people living in a different part of the world who have limited access to the opportunities and social supports which are easily taken for granted in Canada.

A small group of eight students is selected each year with consideration given to academics, attitude and character; travel typically takes place over Spring Break. Although tasks on the ground may change from year to year, participants generally spend most of their time working with local children and on community service projects. This experience is always life changing for our young people as they come home with transformed minds and hearts.

DOWN WEEK ACTS OF SERVICE

At Westpark, all students participate in chapels that follow the UPSIDEDOWN PARTY rhythm, where each week different aspects of our relationship with God are emphasized. On DOWN weeks we orient our hearts towards serving our community in humble acts of service. During DOWN week chapels, there are numerous opportunities for students from K-12 to lead and participate in community outreach and service projects.
