Sarah Coetzee

Mrs Coetzee's Deep Hope for her students is that they will know God's love and show that love to others, remaining in the gifts of love and learning. 

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from the University of Stellenbosch: South Africa. 

Sarah Coetzee: Grade 2

Sarah has been teaching for over 25 years and feels incredibly grateful and fortunate to be a part of a profession that she truly loves and is passionate about. Over the years, Sarah had the opportunity to live and travel in different parts of the world, experiences that have greatly shaped her outlook on life and enriched her teaching. These experiences have helped Sarah appreciate diverse perspectives and bring a global lens into the classroom. She enjoys bringing curiosity, creativity, and a global perspective into the classroom.

Sarah is very happy to have settled in Portage la Prairie and to call it home. Being part of this school community is something she values deeply, and she enjoys building meaningful relationships with her colleagues and students, supporting them as they learn, grow, and gain confidence each day.  

Outside of school, Sarah enjoys baking, painting, and sketching whenever she has some free time, and loves relaxing with a good movie. She is also the proud parent of three grown children, which has further deepened her appreciation for the important role educators play in children’s lives.
