Lydia Stoesz is the Westpark School Principal & Pastor of Educational Ministries at Prairie Alliance Church
Mrs. Stoesz joined the Westpark staff in 2009, and as the principal she encourages and empowers the teachers at Westpark to be the leaders, mentors and educators that God created them to be. She also enjoys her time in the classroom teaching grades 11 & 12 bible class where she challenges students about the Bible and how it impacts our lives today. She loves seeing them discover new things and truly form their faith.
Lydia’s students learn that the more they study the Bible, the more questions it raises; the more seriously they take the Bible, the more there is to know and understand. She wants them to love learning more about their Creator who loves them and calls them to be the people they were meant to be. Mrs. Stoesz desires that her students would see themselves as deeply loved by God and that they would experience the joy that comes when they truly understand that!
Mrs. Stoesz is thankful that at Westpark students are taught about faith that changes over time and experiences. Everyone is on a faith journey and at this school it doesn't matter where on that faith journey a student is. She also loves that students and staff can explore their faith, and change their ideas about things as they dive deeper into understanding God's love for us and also who God is.
Lydia and her husband Kevin have a daughter and son, and their family wouldn’t be complete without their very strange and opinionated cat Dexter! She loves spending time with her kids, going hiking, skiing, exploring the zoo and planning their next adventures. She enjoys playing the piano, reading, hiking and baking in her down time.
